baseballss1
We will see. Sunbright will be the best team in the county. And when they beat Coalfield the excuses will flow. Sunbright has pitching. Both Hawns can throw and they return ALL STARTERS, but one from last years team. They are returning great players in The Hawn's, Clint Newport, and Young. All can pitch and hit, and I think with the absence of Micheal Paul from Coalfield will fall to The tigers. I may be wrong but I think Sunbright will be the best in the county and OS in the district. we only lost one starter to(micheal paul) and we never threw micheal paul against sunbright and we still killed them. i think it will come down to coalfield and os. I haven't followed Morgan County baseball in 10 years, but the name Brad Howard sure does bring back some memories. He was a heck of a pitcher and even a better person. Coalfield and Oakdale used to be the teams to beat in the mid nineties. If the format would have been the way it is now with only having to win on Monday and Friday, Oakdale and Coalfield may have gone to the State several years in a row. Coach Lowe and Coach Triplett used to do one heck of a job of getting their teams ready to play.

SS that ain't killin someone and i'm sure Micheal paul didn't have any ribbys or score any at all. And I know for a fact there was no way he made any plays in the field. Is he gonna go in the stands and kiss his momma after his first baseball win ? He couldn't coach out of a wet paper bag, and will be in trouble with the TSSAA by this time next year! MSUBac2001
Brad was probley the best player to ever come through Morgan County. And probley one of the best to ever come through. I agree Brad Howard was probably the best single player ever to come out of Morgan County, probably one of the top HS pitchers ever in TN. He was one of those once in a lifetime players to come through the area. The best fastball I ever personally faced. He basically carried Oakdale to the state tourney in 1995. If he had not had arm problems at MT, I believe he would have eventually had a great career professionally.

I know OS has some hard feelings toward Mr. Newberry since that fight in football. I know though that no matter what it takes I'm gonna see them play one way or another if I Have to get my good buddy Mr. Whalen to tape it for me. Os Will be tough and Sunbright won't beat them but Possibly could get ugly. Best of Luck Os. I know quite a few of the players played against them as a 12 year old in a 13-14 league. I might have to break out the pink socks. HAHA Whalen.

In 1994 they got beat by Adamsville and Goodpasture. If I am not mistaken he holds the career strikeout record for a career in the state of Tennessee. I don't really see it ever being broke because he played 5 years of HS baseball. He also threw a no hitter his freshman year at MT.

Dulling held most of the baseball records in Oakdale before Howard came along. If I'm not mistaken he was also a part of one of the first baseball teams they ever had. Dulling went to the University of Tennessee. It's amazing how many great athletes mess up their arms and never make it big.
