the debate of AAA wilco teams has gotten stale. let's include the private schools. what would be the ranking if we included the ba, bga, and cpa?

I agree. Here are my thoughts.

1. brentwood

2. BGA

3a. ravenwood - tie

3b. independence - tie

4a. centennial - tie

4b. franklin - tie

5. CPA

6. Brentwood Academy

OK, Williamson County players...

Let's start this thread to discuss our teams.

Rules:

a) Let's stay away from negatives (put a positive spin on everything!)

B) Comment about a different team (not just your own)

I'll begin with a few discussion questions:

1) Rank the AAA teams in Williamson Co.

2) What games are you most looking forward to play/watch?

3) Any suprises this season?

4) Can Brentwood repeat as champ?

5) How will Franklin play with their second year coach?

6) Will Independence improve and compete in their second year?

7) Centennial... after years of being only third/fourth best, can they step it up?

8) Ravenwood... did they graduate all their talent last year?

OK, there's a question for each team... have fun... <_<

1.) Brentwood, Independence, Franklin, Centennial, Ravenwood

2.) Independence vs. Ravenwood... Ravenwood beat Independence in the last few minutes of the game last year, 4-3.

3.) Ravenwood won't be as good as predicted, i don't think.

4.) They can, but I don't know if they will.

5.) not very well this year, they're reloading.

6.) already started competing... beat franklin thursday night.

7.) it's possible... the difference between these five teams is small... whoever finishes last could knock off the first place team in the districts, i think.

8.) no, but they did graduate a lot of it.

oh, and i remember reading that someone said independence didn't lose anyone last year early on in the thread... since it's a new school, it doesn't have any seniors there yet, so you're right, the team didn't lose anyone, because no one at the school graduated.

1) Brentwood - Centennial - Independence - Ravenwood - Franklin (i think this is a hard question... it's really a close --very close-- district this year.

2) Brentwood vs. any of the others -- Independence vs. any of the others

3) the Centennial/Brentwood game was a surprise

4) ya

5) they are ok, i think they will beat Centennial

6) yes, i think they already have this season

7) maybe, but they are not going to make it out of the district tournament

8) not all of it, but they just have a serious problem scheduling a hard season... they have an easy schedule, so it looks like they are going to win lots of games, but just like last year, they play "second rate" teams... (i might get some heat for saying that, but honestly, look at their "out-of-district" games and they are so-so.

in my opinion, all of those teams, especially brentwood, play second rate teams outside of their district. who does brentwood play other than hendersonville and as we all know scrimmages don't count.

i want you to know that i completely agree with your observation of these teams playing weak schedules. i personally enjoyed playing the tougher teams because of the challenge, but what exactly is the problem with playing a weak schedule? it doesn't prepare you for state? in my opinion, who you're playing is not as important as how you're playing, or practicing even. in the end, it comes down to your team either having the talent to compete or not. if you don't have the talent to be at state, then it doesn't matter how many top teams you play. for the sake of arguing, it could be that by playing a weak schedule these teams have an advantage at state because they aren't as tired and beat up as the rest. once again i agree and support playing harder teams, but i will counter every argument you have because there are always two sides to a story. maybe we can get a big debate going where everyone gets angry and says hurtful things until they realize they won't change anybody's mind so they just stop talking
