Hey MC-Dad, what's happened to you and all of your post. Just for my reading pleasure I was re-reading some topics and noticed that all of your post have disappeared from My computer.....what's up with that???

Any news on the valley coaching positions??? I did hear the Bird was coming out of retirement to come to the valley!!!!

Who is the Bird? Where in the valley are they coming? Is this someone that would be interested in the SP job? Details please!!!

We're glad to have Coach Phillips regardless of what color his dad's blood is. We just don't want no Cornpup for a coach.

Honey, if you don't know who the "Bird" is then you don't know a thing about baskeball.

I'm glad that you have Coach Phillips too, but I bet that if your pricked his finger it probably still has a purple tint to it! :thumb:

Better watch out though, if Coach Roberts doesn't come back then Cornpup may want to assist in SP. B);)

The only BIRD that I know is Larry Bird and I'm pretty sure that he wouldn't want the SP job. As much as we would love to have him!

We hope that Roberts stays at Jasper because he can't beat us and Cornpup will stay there with him.

I think Roberts is handing down the basketball program if Coach Raffo can find a replacement.

    • Yeah, we came up short. I remember we threw a ball over the middle to #5 Guymon? and he came up short of the sticks. Gave em he&& for a bit though.
    • Doe dee doe doe…..hmmmmmmm one of those players can run faster than my lawnmower when I put it in 5th gear turbo.  You can bet the lawnmower on that.
    • Yeah I am on board and plan on coming down from the Ridge for some home games, great Friday night atmosphere there.  I'm really hoping SC can get them back going and have some success for those fans and community.
    • Yep I was field level on the scoreboard end throwing ball with Benny when we had that brief lead. Everybody got very excited but it was short lived as Murvil regrouped and went into machine mode. But yeah,  that hit sounded like the crack of a black powder rifle being fire.  I believe Dozier took one like that as a Soph up at Greeneville after on olay block.
    • Ole Benny boy lol. I forgot about Harder. He was tough as crap. He graduated in ‘09. I went to the OR/Maryville game that year (great game, btw) and he collided with Jacob West (I think was his name) and you could hear it clearly at the top of the visitor bleachers. Man, it was a stick. He could lay some wood son. All those guys were tough, Elliott included.
