i watched it last night and i think meigs is going to be alright this upcoming year. i think meigs dominated the entire game --just gave up to long bombs for tds.--heard coach martin say after the game he was pleased with the scrimmage but the tigers cannot give up the big plays that they gave especially in those situations. --also heard coach martin say he would not scrimmage with the stipulations of going only 10 plays and i dont blame him---meigs defense dominates harriman for 8 plays and they throw two bombs for tds----meigs offense comes in and moves the ball straight down field but runs out of plays.----hats off to harriman --good qb and some speed and quickness at skill positions--meigs's t mobriant is stud.

I was not able to attend the scrimmage but I have watched videos on it. Not all of Harriman's starters was able to play in the scrimmage due to playing other sports at the current time. Harriman carried themsleves very well from what I seen on the videos. Keep your heads up boys and show them you will contend again this season.

Yeah I don't think that 10 plays would be enough to do much

    • Playing high school sports is a privilege not a right.  The college did not have to rescind the scholarship.  Scholarship offers are pulled all the time for a number of reasons. That was 100% their choice.  A coach can keep, cut, or dismiss any player that they want to without reason anytime they want.  Is that the right way to run a program?? I don't think that it is, but these are the facts of the matter. This case has absolutely 0% chance of going in the plaintiff's favor. Futhermore, I'd imagine that these administrators and the coach are a part of some teaching or coaching organization that will cover at least 1 million dollars each in legal fees. Obviously the kid and her family feel like there were "damages" thus the lawsuit.  Unfortunately, the law is not on their side in this case.
    • Maryville will recapture the loses from last year against West, Bradley and Farragut. The Bearden game will be the tough one but I look for the wheels to come off that ride somewhere down the road because of all the crap that goes on there. I know to many parents there and some of the things I've been told and some of the post a few of them have made on facebook. They all can't be liars.
    • If Heritage moves down and Alcoa moves up the best thing for Heritage is to do what William Blount did when theystopped playing Maryville or meet certain defeat. Honestly can't see Alcoa not moving up the way the county is growing. Might be in the Mountaineers best interest to stay in 5A because none of those teams on their schedule are anything close to Alcoa.
    • I say over as well. Barney, regarding the move to 4A, will the cross-town blowhards move up as well??
