Obviously Gatorade saw something in him to make him the state player of the year

well that does it, Brian Lowder is the best; no questioning it now that Gatorade picked him as player of the year.

alright sorry i just found that amusing, i have never seen brian play so i wouldn't know.

there is no way of choosing who the absolute best in state is because anyone can argue someone other than him.

Right! If you have never seen BLawder play then you cannot say that he is the greatest even if he has the powerade award.. you still have to see it for yourself..also every team has stand out seniors!

 

Its actually the gatorade award :thumb: and even if you havent seen him play you still could say he is one of the best just because of all the things that he has accomplished

yes we can make the assumption that he is ONE of the best players in the state, not the best.

can someone please list his accomplishments please, because i am now curious about this fellow and would like to know. thanks

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
