don't let Adrian Donald from Humboldt slip off of yall's minds...he may be a shorter back (5'8 185) than the rest but he has alot of speed and strength...he ran a 4.40 in the 40 last year and no telling what he would run this year...we maxed about 2 months ago and he got 280 in clean, 300 in bench, and 450 in squat...im sure his weight will increase when we max again here in another month...also keith wardlow on the team is a very strong back...he's taller than AD but about the same weight (5'11 185) and he lifts about the same thing as adrian except in bench he got 315...but we tried him at QB and did well and has great speed (4.49) and has a good arm...so after having a bad year last year im sure these 2 seniors (12 seniors in all that start) and the rest of the vikings will return to have a great season this year

I thought A. Donald was one of the 3 best backs last year in 7-2A. Very strong kid.

DON'T FORGET THE CASSIDY KID AT FAIRVIEW. NOT A TOP TEN TEAM MABIE BUT A TOP TEN PLAYER FOR SURE. HIGH SCHOOL RUNNING BACKS TAKE JUST THE RIGHT CONDITIONS TO GET GREAT NUMBERS. IF THE TEAM IS BAD, YARDS ARE HARD TO GET. IF THE TEAM IS VERY GOOD THE TOP BACKS JUST GET TO PLAY A HALF OR LESS. ALL THE BACKS MUST BE LOOKED AT IN THE TEAM SITUATION. ONE GOOD EXAMPLE; ANY BACK AT GOODPASTURE THAT DOES NOT REACH THE 1000 YARD MARK BEHIND THAT LINE SHOULD TAKE UP GOLF. ALSO YOU MUST JUDGE IF THE BACK IS ALSO A KEY DEFENSIVE PLAYER, ITS MUCH HARDER TO BE GREAT GOING BOTH WAYS.

Region 7-2A is full of great backs in Matt Hewitt-Dresden, Chris Donald and young Weathers-Huntingdon, Adrian Donald-Humboldt, Antone Cunningham-Gibson County, and I sure Milan has some little fast guy that will run over many teams. :thumb:

    • One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.
    • If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.
    • If y’all lose to Farragut something awful has happened.
    • Get him to Bearden ASAP! Or anywhere, Karns hs is in rough shape, probably not getting out of it anytime soon.
    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
