im sure they are both good players, but how many goals are they scoring a game? and Sheffield is terrible any way, any decent team would smash them 8-0.

well Sheffield is a two time state semi-final team the last two years and was close to beating CAK last year (just ask BigG), so they aren't terrible. Berry is a great player, he is going to play at Rhodes next year, I dont know I guess he averages 3 or 4 goals a game..Grueser averages about 2 goals a game. Now this is against A/AA west tenn. teams which are mostly bad. But I would definitely put Berry in the top 10 forwards in the state, and Grueser will be there in a couple of years.

i understand, but rhodes? are they d1, i dunno but 3-4 goals a game could be any forward if the coach lets them, i coulda had 6-7 in some games last year

Rhodes is a great school, has a very fine soccer program and plays in one of the top DIII conferences--- the SCAC, along with Trinity, DePauw, Sewanee, Centre, Colorado College, Austin, Oglethorpe, South Western and several other top-ranked liberal arts schools. The conference ranges from Indiana to Texas and from Colorado to Tennessee and Georgia. He'll play in a great conference and get a great education. Congratulations to him.

Zac Berry is a great player but when he played with the Jackson Wolves last fall the other forward was Kenny Whitehead and I couldn't see where one was any better than the other. They are both very fast and deadly close to the goal. Maybe you could ask the USJ defenders what they think after Kenny scored two on them Saturday to eliminate them from Best of The West. To me a top scorer is someone who can score on the good teams not someone who scores in bunches against weak opponents. Zac and Kenny both can score against anyone. Madison and Dyersburg have not met yet but it will be a great game if they do.

    • Hope the catcher on baseball team come back out and play's football . He didn't play last year if I remember but I don't remember much after that wreck anyways.. But he did play his freshman and soph years and I thought was a very good player. He's put on some size now, so I'm hoping he's thinking about playing again..
    • Pirates are young this year.  Gordy can sleep on them.
    • They’ll get it worked out eventually.Farragut is too good of a program to be down for long. As an OR fan, I can’t really say I’m too distraught about it though.
    • I didn’t even see that until you said something, but I don’t think it’s that bad. Yes, the coaches can’t get along with each other. But I don’t think they’re openly taking shots at each other right in front of the parents. If they are, that’s pitiful though, that’s really pitiful. I sure hope they’re not, but yeah, I’ve heard the same thing from players over at Farragut getting fed up, and I feel as though what the coaching staff has been trying to keep under the prying eyes of the parents is now out on full display.
    • and there is definitely a reason for that—more than just Catholic recruiting.
