can anyone stop lipscomb?? so far the answer is NO-NO!! The mustangs pitching has just been phenominal!! taylor merry has been dominating the compitition, and racking up in the K's department! also josh holt has been overpowering opponents with his speed and location! daniel lyons has given the mustangs great innings and is continuously wiping the floor with his opponents! chris baumgartner has also been on a roll winning some very important games in and out of district!! and last but not least rob kurtz made his sophomore debut hurling a NO-NO against Hume-Fogg in a dominating performance!! The hitting for the mustangs has also come around lately from the slow start early on!! they are just hitting all the way up and down the lineup and pitchers just cannot get a break!! the mustangs are undefeated in the district and it looks like it will stay that way!!

David Lipscomb went 0-4 Thurs. through Sat. at the BGA Classic invitational.

They lost to Elmwood (OH) on Thursday, BGA and Christian Brothers High School (Memphis) on Friday and beat by Elmwood again on Saturday to take 4th place out of 4 at the tournament.

Funny you should say how good of a hitting team they are because, If I'm not mistaken, the BGA pitcher threw a no-hitter against them on Friday, and it was only his first game of the year.

What did the guy throw like?

The BGA kid? He was right handed... some parents said he came in for relief when the teams played earlier in the season. He threw the ball hard, definatley, but as I said had some trouble hitting his spots. He had some decent off-speed stuff.

Was that what you were asking?

we mustangs weren't concerned with the tournament because they were saving their energy for the district games that really mater the following week. So just see how good they do this week!

Sounds like someone is saving face. Lipscomb is good but getting to cocky will result in a bad ending to the season.
