Loretto scored 3 runs in the top of the 2nd as Ben Wiseman singled, stole 2nd, and advanced to 3rd on a single by Will Cox. Heath Daniels singled driving in Wiseman's CR Nick Quillen. Cox scored on a passed ball. Daniels stole 2nd, advanced on a passed ball, and scored on an infield error on a ball hit by Lucas Nunley

 

Loretto added 2 more runs in the top of the 4th as Will Cox singled, stole 2nd, and scored on single by Brock Glass. Glass stole 2nd and 3rd and scored on an infield error on a ball hit by Lucas Nunley.

 

Loretto scored their final 7 runs in the top of the 7th as Heath Daniels reached base on an infield error and eventuall scored on a throwing error. Robert Newton singled, advanced on the throwing error and a wild pitch, and scored on single by Mark Lamm. Cameron Hoffmeyer walked, and eventually scored on a 4-3 ground out by Luke Buttrum. Wesley Gobble doubled scoring Lamm. Ben Wiseman was hit by a pitch. Will Cox homered to LF which scored Gobble and Wiseman's CR

 

Page's only hits were by Blake Warren in the bottom of the 3rd and Cory Herald in the 7th.

 

Loretto played great defense in backling up Lamm's pitching all nigtht. Loretto moves to 6-2 in the district with games remaining against Giles Co. and Lewis Co. Page falls to 4-3 with games remaining against Giles, Lewis, and Marshall.

 

The better team won tonight.

Thanks Kyle - Maybe we'll get another shot at you guys during the district tournament

 

Yea, wingman10 it was a real tough loss for the Patriots. While we contained Lamm, batting-wise, with only 1 single, the lower half of Loretto's order killed us with several hits, but it was our errors that really hurt our cause. I'm still stunned this morning.
