Webb-McCallie

Should be another great DII game. Let's see McCallie beat Baylor 1-0...even though Baylor pretty much dominated the game. Baylor beat Webb 1-0. This one could easily go either way but I will go with Webb 2-1. This could make for a 3 way tie with Baylor, McCallie and Webb.

If Webb scores two goals and is scored on, the DII East tie-breakers will either give Webb the #1 seed outright (if most goals scored comes first) or Webb will be relegated to the #3 seed ( if most shutouts or least goals allowed come first). The 3 way tie will happen if Webb wins 1-0. That result is very possible in this division. Good luck to both sides.

Any idea what will happen if Webb does win 1-0 and this would result in a 3 way tie. Does anyone know how they would do seeds?

Webb will win 2-1.

Correct score, but it came out backward. McCallie (2) v. Webb (1). McCallie blitzed Webb for two early goals and controlled the first half. Webb responded well and carried most of the second half but only picked up one goal. It was a very good, cleanly played match.

Webb will win 2-1.

Congrats McCallie on the win and the regular season regional championship. Two welll finished goals in the first half and some other balls that from my angle were in early in the second half. Webb has some good players but didn't have many quality shots on the goal. Long shots in Div. II don't have much chance with quality keepers. They were really good on their corner kicks. So now it's between Baylor and Webb to see who makes it with McCallie to the state tournament. I hope to make it to that match. Does anyone know if King's Academy is in the region this year? Congrats again to McCallie, short shots make goals guys, keep the crosses coming. Good luck at the state tournament.

    • Gleason all over west Carroll in scrimmage. Gleason is big and fast
    • Defending 2A state Champs Westview Lady Chargers are pretty tough. They lost a bunch of production off last year's squad but returned some talent as well. They still McCall Simms, a Tennesseee Lady Vol softball commit as well as solid talent around the diamond. I dont think they are as good as last season but they will definitely be a tough out. Huntingdon Lady Mustangs seem to be pretty stout as well. Don't know much about Riverside other than Westview defeated them earlier in regions. West Tennessee softball is pretty solid all around id say.
    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
