Nathan Johnson of Beech would've been in the running for it. A tremendous athlete cut down too soon.

For the second time, Logan O"Connor, Knoxville Halls. He will be better than his brother was in 2002, when he was the best kicker in the state. Logan actually punts the ball better than his brother did back then, and his brother is the kicker & punter for University of Marshall now.

Just a side note. There is another O'Conner coming up. He will be a Freshman in '07. He has done some kicking for his teams.

new news on jasper hit 16/16 fgs and 40/40 pats at the lsu kicking camp...already has been offered by the tigers and auburn is getting close to one.

I think You are right! he was at the UT kicking camp this past week. Kicked a 55 yard field goal to win the kicking competition. Nailed it right down the middle. hit a 60 long enough but it was a little wide.

Jasper didn't win the kicking competition at UT. It was won by BGA SR Brett BRodbeck who hit a 60 and finished with the overall most total points.

jasper is 5/9 on field goals with his long being a 52 (rhs has a new holder this year and is the reason for most of the misses) and he is perfect 16/16 on PAT's. All but two of kickoffs have been touchbacks...He'll win by the way.

Jasper is a commit to LSU!!! Just out that he is ranked 4th kicker in the country by ESPN rankings. I quess that the UT camp didn't mean much anyways....still won it!!!!
