Great game...hated to see my boys lose, but they fought hard. Marion just wasn't hitting like normal, except for a solo shot by Ronnie Smith, and when Marion did hit, McMinn played solid defense. A few questionable calls from the umps on both sides, but I would say when 2 of the total 3 runs scored are from home runs, with very few hits on either side, you had two evenly matched teams that played tonight. Congrats to McMinn, as for Marion, great season, to the seniors, great job, you showed some great leadership, and don't worry, Marion County baseball will be fine.

Well, even though we didn't go further, my hat is off to them for winning the district, and not only that, but setting the record for the most wins in a season by a Marion County team. Almost winning 30 games is a pretty awesome achievement.

That was an excellent ballgame from the first til last pitch of the game......but I believe there were 2 gargantuan homeruns!!! Loveday hit his to the opposite field.

Marion finish the season wit 29 wins.The 6 seniors that are gone now have left a mark on MC Baseball for years to come.There is no tellin where the program will be w/o them..My hat if off to all of them They couldnt get no better.Great job McMinn Central as well
