Fans go after ref

At the conclusion of the CSAS-Notre Dame match, two fans went after the referee yelling all kinds of explicatives and threatening him. Luckily none of the threats materilalized. It was just an ugly situation that should NEVER happen. There was also a Notre Dame player who was ejected in the game who went after the same ref and actually bumped him. Not a great reflection on Notre Dame's character.

You can't say it reflects on Notre Dame's character but it does reflect on a few fans and a player.

 

The Notre Dame coach handled it well. This is one reason that administrators from both schools should be at games.

 

One of the two guys also threw the clock on the ground on the way out. Pretty poor attitude.

 

They didn't look like ND students. They looked a little older. CSAS officials handled it pretty well and the Notre Dame coaches did talk to the officials afterwards.
