Class 5A: Region 3 Favorites

I can't imagine the Cavs throwing it around near as much as last year.After all we had an all-state QB in Hennigan & great guys to throw it to in Stearman,Winningham & all-state Wolf. All those guys are gone now.Everything's still a big ? to me right now.I know we have a talented runner in Langford but can he carry the load for a full season like Wolf?

I don't think the starting QB situation has been decided but whoever it is will come in with very limited experience.If whoever is selected progresses quickly enough I'm sure those passes will still be in the playbook to use.

Long story short I believe Cookeville will HAVE to start out primarily on the ground with Dustin Langford / Shane Bates & rely on their defense until the new QB gaines the confidence he needs.The scrimmage with LA & the 3-way scrimmage with Oak Ridge & Blackman will be very important to the teams progress.

Franklin Co. Warren Co. and Coffee Co. will be vying for the rest of the spots I don't know what Cumberland Co. has this year and since they have a new school I think that might take away alot of their players.

not too many actually, since the coaching change numbers are up and they only ended up losing 4 potential starters and around 20 total. Most of SMHS players are playing for the first time or didnt play at all last year.

Thanks for the Info Blueangel. it was kinda hard to tell looking from the outside and you just don't know how many kids would transfer or be rezoned.

He doesn't have the best arm, but he is quick. He'll hurt you more with his legs than arm.

Shelton is a very good passing qb and is tough and a very smart qb.

Thank you sir...he has been prepared to be a Falcon qb for a long time. He has plenty of good wr's and backs. Falcons should have a great yr.

He look alright too me last year
