Week 0 Riverdale vs. Siegel

Recommended Posts

We have discussed this before. You were on the team.......and you weren't first string or even 2nd string.

SO........when exactly were YOU put in? Seems to me that you never got a snap in that game. Why not if you are insinuating that we only played against scrubs?

We teach sportsmanship at Oakland ...so yes , to us, it matters that rankin didn't shake hands when his players did and his assts did. Tell me WHY his other assts were APOLOGIZING for his RUDE and CHILDISH behavior then if it supposedly doesn't matter?

BTW...I have fussed about Shadowens not allowing his coaches or team to shake our hands back in 2003...and I fussed about lebanon's coach not doing it back in 2002. So it isn't JUST rankin. I think you LEAD by example.

Geesh... I am almost ready to eat supper...don't remind me of Lebanon's coach and those tatics.

Good thing coach ferg is teaching them something.

2p, i love it when you back down and have to switch the argument up. you can take all the pride you want in that TD im just lettin you know that it wasnt against riverdales first defense (with the exception of a couple players) and it was a 4 yard drive as a result from a turnover. boast it all you want, i guess if i was in your position i would too but just dont make it out to be something it wasnt.

and who cares if someone doesnt get their handshake? if rankin was as mad as you say he was (since you were right there to experience it), you should applaud him for showing signs of restraint by not going out there after the game if he wanted to calm down.

If you lead by example 2p then Ferguson is doing a terrible job because it seems his players have a problem with quitting and they also showed VERY poor sportsmanshup after the Siegel Oakland football game with some players refusing to shake hands. So dont pretend that all mighty Oakland has the best sportsmanship in the region.

What about your crybaby coach getting his own atricle in both the DNJ and Tennessean screaming Classless Classless after yall lost to us 2 yrs ago. THEN...He was over begging forgiveness at OHS the next day for trying to fight Coach Richie who was trying to settle him down and keep him from acting such a fool. He also tried to punch Coach Glover. He was ranting, cussing, and acting like a 2 yr old . this wasn't the first time OR school that he tried to punch a coach after the game that he LOST.

Quit? Burris was off b/c of grades and the other Burris was kicked off for violating team rules. Neither quit. I respect Ferg in every way and could care less if you do. IF you played for either school then maybe you would have a right to say anything about how the teams are run.

I thought it was real amusing what Big SWOLE CHAD Davis said about WATSON recently. So maybe you need to worry about your own players and not ours .

Who cares? I care. MY Hs coach always taught us to care as well. Marty taught my son the same. Both coaches had rings...

Don't forget when you make a turnover it was usually forced by the other team.

And yes, we were real proud of that TD...... and we didn't need to add minutes to the clock in the 4th Q to earn it either. Plenty of times that RHS D held 4 downs on the 1 yd line over the yrs......so yes, we fans were proud even if it was a 4 yd score. RHS D has a rep thru the yrs as one of the best def teams in the state. SO.... Yes, we were proud to score on them. It was something to build on with a 2-8 record. Think about it.

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
