Alcoa / Powell Scrimmage

It was a good scrimage but Alcoa is GOING TO HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF THE BALL BETTER , too many turnovers !!!!! I counted 7 but there may have been more . But this is preseason and I expect this is get better . Alcoa scrimages Oak Ridge on Tues. at Alcoa , and we'll see if it goes any better .

What about the line play? It is going to have to holdup against Maryville, Fulton and McCallie. Also are the numbers up? I was told there are over 90 players when you include the Freshman. Thanks for any information.

I was at the scrimmage and was not impressed with the play of the o-line early in the scrimmage. After a while it got better but its still not like Alcoas past o-line(s).

I was also at the scrimmage and yes there were at least 6 or 7 turnovers, but Alcoa scored around four td's and Powell only scored 1 on the goaline. The o-line did't do to good, but that was I think a 4-a school, and was definitley the biggest line they will see all year. Powell's shortest d-lineman was about 6-2 or 6-3! Alcoa's biggest lineman was't over 6 foot.
