Madison has several talented sophomores and freshman that are starting as well. They will lose 3 seniors that start.

Madison defeats Haywood County 12-0 in the first round of district/region play

Madison defeated McNairy 2-0 for the region championship. McNairy played a fine game tonight. It seemed like their gameplan was to keep as many people back on defense as they could. Sometimes it was 10 players back there. They have some quick forwards and I`m sure they were hoping to kick one out and let their speed score. Anyways, Madison still managed to score two goals through a very crowded McNairy defense.

Congrats to the Lady Mustangs! As VG said, they played against a tough McNairy defense. Looks like we'll be playing the loser of the USJ-JCS game this weekend. Either of these teams will give the Lady Mustangs a run for their money, but I feel that Madison is on a roll that will be hard to stop! With the leadership of our seniors and the strength of our underclassmen, they'll be hard to beat. Congrats to Rachel (MVP All-District), Alyse, Kelly, Candace (MVP All-District Tournament) and Mariah (MV Keeper) on making All-District/ All-District Tournament Teams....they all were well deserving!

Looks like the Lady Mustangs will be playing JCS @ 2pm on Saturday for the Sub-state. JCS squeeked by Madison 3-2 early in the season. Madison has improved and matured immensely since that game. If they play as aggressively as they are capable of, they should be able to win this game and make a 2nd trip to Chattanooga! Good luck ladies!
