Smyrna O-Line

Recommended Posts

If you are around Smyrna football or even know the slightest about them everone has been sayin that there o-line was horrible.. What I want to know now is what people think of them now.. they came out and showed everyone up.. They blocked for (2) 140 yard rushers and a QB who had 200 yds passing last friday night.. now are they still the weak spot.. Lets hear some thoughts..!!

I love Smyrna, but LaVergne's weakness is their D-line and that was exposed Friday night. Smyrna's line benefits from the extra attention Rod draws. That cleans up the box and its just a hat on a hat, and as talented as Maceo and Antoine are, they just need a crease. I'm not so sure that Smyrna's O-Line is good.............Maplewood gave them the business, from what I hear. I'm still not convinced that the Bulldog O-Line could line up against 8 man fronts and beat anybody with some physical guys up close.

The good thing for Smyrna is that as long as Sonny, Rod, Crouch, and Torres are producing outside, they won't see many 8 man fronts, so this may be a moot point.

And he was cut loose this spring from Scotts Hill. Heard him in a interview a few month back and he inspired me. He needs to be back home in the Purple & Gold, regardless of if he is HC or not or even if he doesnt coach at all, his presences will improve the environment. But Again, I have no clue if he would even be interested.

Not much shot to win a state title at Macon but could very well be a contender with the talent coming up through the peewee and junior high ranks in TC I hear. He my dark horse candidate. trousdale co fans could also brag to their neighbors that they talked their best coach into coming to TC on a year of such high expectations at Macon co.
