Mount Juliet at Kenwood

Mount Juliet comes to Kenwood for Kenwood's Homecoming. What is everyones take on this one. Coach Perry moved to MJ from Portland. This is a big game for Kenwood. They must not look ahead to the next game at Clarksville. Kenwood played a sloppy game against Portland this week yet found a way to come away with the 25-7 victory. Kenwood must stay focused, cut down on the mental mistakes and come prepared to play each game week by week to continue their run at the 6-4A championship.

Take nothing away from Rossview as their defense played their butts off. But Mt Juliet threw a bunch of INT's and had fumbles, and most teams cannot overcome these obstacles. They also missed makeable FG tries. Mt Juliet is hungry and looking for a win and Kenwood needs to Bring the A game for 4 full quarters this week.! Mt Juliet is very talented and physical!

MJ 21 KHS 12. Great game plan by Coach Perry and great play on both sides of the ball by his team. Congratualtions. Kenwood failed to show up for this game all around. Two plays in the game really destroyed any chance of coming away with the win. Losing the chance to sack the QB for a safety and giving up a 96yd passing TD, and an over pursuit that led to a 57yd rushing TD. KHS must also work on their kicking game. The Knights' O-line and D-line were dominated by MJ. Not sure if the Knights were looking ahead to next weeks showdown with Clarksville or not. Maybe they were to busy all week with the Homecoming distractions. If the Knights don't stay focused and iron out the animosity between the one cancerous wanna be superstar WR/DB and the rest of his team, he will create dissention again and cost the nights a big win. The question is do the Knights really need the problem? They performed quite well without the problem child on their road trip to Portland. Maybe the coaches need to take a hard look at the root of the problem.

Great game by the Bears...the game was really not as close as the score indicated. Bears dominated both sides of the ball until late in the game. The score could very easily been 28 to zip. Kenwood did not look ready to play at all!

MJ shook off the mistakes vs Rossview and were extremely focused. I have not caught all the games this year (missed a couple) but the O sets looked a bit different (less of the wing t motion O?)

Way to go Bears! Sic 'em!!
