Well the 1st half of the season is over with and the best part has just started. With mostly just region games left. Is there any surprises, for me yes. At the beginning of the year, all i remeber hearing is that the only good Clarksville school would be Clarksville, well Kenwood is jsut as good. Also, Beech has had a rough start, figure they would be in the mix for the region title. Well, lets hear the predictions for the second half and what the playoff picture will look like

Region Standings as of the end of Week 6:

Springfield 3 - 0 1.000 6 - 0 1.000 157 26.1 73 12.1

Kenwood 3 - 0 1.000 5 - 1 0.830 126 21.0 61 10.1

Games to watch:

Week 7: Mt. Juliet @ Kenwood (could be an upset in MJ favor) Rossview @ Beech(must win for Beech)

Week 8: Kenwood @ Clarksville, Mt. Juliet @ Beech(winner could get 4th playoff spot)

Week 9: Kenwood @ Springfield, Clarksville @ Mt. Juliet(If MJ is still fighting for a spot this could be a thriller)

Week 10:Springfield @ Clarksville, Rossview @ Kenwood & Portland @ Beech--these 2 depending on the winners could shake up the playoff picture)

These are just some games to watch not all are top teams in the region, they are just game that could decide who get thats last playoff spot

With this all being said im gonna take

Springfield Region Champs---beating Clarksville in week 10

All I heard was that Clarksville was the team to beat in this region. Not only am I happy, but also very surprised that Springfield is atop in the region and undefeated. Clarksville is very dangerous right now after coming off to a rough start this year. I also heard that Kenwood is a very athletic team. As for the fourth spot, it's gonna be against Mt. Juliet, Portland, and Rossview. I can't believe Rossview beat MJ last night!! My predictions to finish the region are Springfield, Clarksville, Kenwood, and Mt. Juliet.

How has Beech been doing this season?

Hendersonville W 26-21

at Kenwood R L 17-20

at Gallatin L 0-20

Clarksville R L 16-30

at White House W 21-7

Springfield R L 14-24

-------------- my predictions

Rossview R win

Mt. Juliet R win

at Northwest R win

Portland R win

This pulls them to 6-4 and 4-3 in the region and depends on how MJ performs, Beech could get the bid for the 4th playoff spot, cause all 3 region losses are from the top 3 teams so they have the toughest part of their schedule out of the way

I agree. But the Bucs need to not worry about going 6-4 they need to worry about going 3-4 and getting the win against Rossview. They do not need to look any where else but at the Rossview game. nothing else.

    • Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.
    • What does everyone have in the final 8? In no particular order. 1. Eagleville 2. Gordonsville 3. Greenback 4. Oakdale 5. South Pitt/ East Robertson-- not sure 6. Richland 7. Halls 8. Union City
    • They struggled to field a team last year. I don’t see them being much better?
    • sx good two know thay didun't waint that entarr citty two see yeller/red......
    • Couldn’t agree more.. Tate is a special kinda player , but fortunately for us we get a best of 3 series. I think our pitching is better than last year when we made the trip to west tn. Should be a fun 2 or 3 games.
