Congrats To Baylor on all the young men in Red in the finals.

Congrats to KCHS on a great Tourney on Saturday. However, going to midnight on Friday night was ruff on all the families and grapplers weighing in on the next day.

Fair price to watch some Great high School wrestling.

215 match was 3-1 for Morgan! Shane Reveiz looked good for only 6 days of practice.

The Commandos Freshman 189 took 3rd against some tuff comp.

Lassiter HS had some good looking kids in the finals.

AJ Farinella from Farragut took 3rd.

Nice to see all the great folks from the Coacht community!

Go Commandos.

Greeneville finished 2nd as a team with only nine wrestlers with six placers and Two champions, caleb myers won outstanding wrestler

I really liked the 171 from Greenville! (I think that was the weight class, he pinned a Baylor kid in the finals...enough said)

Jay at 119 from Notre Dame and Frankie Morgan 215 from Union are two of the best wrestlers in the state and looked good this weekend.

This tournament is a good one, however, there just isn't enough seating for such a large crowd. I had kids literally sitting on my feet on the floor Friday night!

How are we gonna get through Regions?? :thumb:

Yeah, between wrestlers bags, team coolers and kids sleeping between the row's there wasn't a lot of space. I really wish there was a dedicated area for wrestlers to keep their bags at tourneys.

Each team gets a row and keep the bags out of the stands where the fans are..

BTW-What was the final top 10 teams?

The seating is certainly cramped, but the folks run an efficient tourney. I don't ever remember seeing dead mats and they had a good group of officials. If there's a way, it would be nice to finish Friday night around 10:00 for a 8:00 Saturday weigh-in. Maybe wrestle a little more on Saturday instead of finishing on Friday after 12:00? Met Porkchop103 and he is a nice young guy - hope you have a great year. Good to see Rigger and both his boys again. How about Pat Flynn and all those OLPHers BearCat and Harry? The best part of all might have been Charlie on the baby grand in the lobby - now that's talent!

    • Yeah they both should be good games whoever matches up with who. Wartburg has beaten Oliver Springs all 4 times they’ve played this year but they have been close games. I believe Wartburgs first sectional appearance was last year when they went to North Greene. Good luck to you all!
    • What did they do this year? Every other year, I’ve gone to one. It’s been a little scrimmage and then a bunch of games like a quarterback throwing challenge, O line versus D line, push-up challenge, etc.    But not surprised, nothing new that the program has been on the decline since they lost their recruiting middle school coach. The baseball coach still does his fair share, but he recruits good baseball players. Not good football players, and decent baseball players, definitely nothing like the middle school coach could do, he left for a middle school job down near Cleveland high school a few years back.
    • Never in my life have I seen a team in a scrimmage against their own defense look so lost and confused. The defense didn’t look much better, the coaching staff can’t keep their anger together, not only with the players but also with their other coaches. I feel awful for those players. None of them look like they wanted or should’ve been out there, but for the grown men on the sidelines acting like fools, it's just embarrassing to the Farragut name and reputation. I now see why they chose not to live stream this on their YouTube channel.
    • We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.
