Coach Shaun Hollinsworth of Station Camp. Last year the team finished 1-9 under him, and so far this year they are a perfect 9-0 w/ the potential region title game to go.

I would have to agree with you on that one. Coming from 1-9 to 9-0 on the verge of winning a region title, there's no more you can say about that, but WOW! Not only that, Station Camp is winning convincingly.

Also, John Offutt of Springfield has really turned that football program around this year, which I'm extremly proud. :D Springfield is playing like a team and with much more desire and hunger to win. I've followed Springfield football for a long, long time and Springfield is usually known for tons of speed on offense (when they're good). This is probably the best defensive unit Springfield has ever had in a long time. My kudos to Coach O. (he should be Coach of the Year in Region 6-4A). :D

As for Cookeville, losing 36 seniors from last year's team?? That's a lot and sounds like half the team. Going on to prove the critics wrong and win the region is also a great accomplishment!

Jerry Joslin Cookeville High, lost 36 starting seniors and still won the Region, nobody gave them much hope at the beginning of the year

Could not agree with you more......Coach J has done a great job of getting his young players ready this season and it shows. Cookeville is 4-0 in the region thus far and 3-peating REGION CHAMPS! Great job guys and keep up the good work. :thumb:

Coach Scott Blade at Hillsboro has done a remarkable job. In his first year they have gone 10-0 and are favorites to reach the finals in AAAA.

Coach Blade joined his team late and then lost most of the incumbent assitant coaches. He was able to put together a staff and then had to teach a new offense to his team.

When Coach Blade arrived, he inherited a group of great athletes but none had any experience running patterns or catching passes. Last year Hillsboro averaged less than 3 passes per game. This year they have completed 94 of 168 for 1575 yards and 19 touchdowns (with only 3 interceptions)

Good coaching is reflected in learning! Coach Blade should be recognized as coach of the year because he has taught so much to these kids.

If you would prefer to base your vote on wins vs. losses, then you need only consider his 10-0 record.

I agree he has done a fantastic job and should be considered.
