Pitchers ............Hailey Rutledge of Friendship. Devon Schmidt of Good Pasture. Devon will have too buy a shadow box for all her state championship rings. Maybe Hailey can add one for FCS as well this year. Since both of them played together as the two starting pitchers for the TN Diamonds it would be neat to have them both win a state title in the same year. Single A and Double A........... Infielders...........Camille Cross - FCS and Kelsey Cartwirght - GoodPasture. Also AAA Brooke Overbey of Beach and Shelby Morris and Carolyn Mason of MJ. Assuming both those teams made it to state.

Thanks for the compliment doorbell. Recieved a call today from one of my best friends telling me to look on Coach T becuase I was being talked about. I had to see what it was. Have not been on here for several years. It's easy calling pitches when you have pitchers like Hailey Rutledge, Devon Schmidt and Kenzie Dye in earlier years with the Diamonds. When they hit their spots and as a coach you pick up on the batter's weakness it is a thing of beauty. I enjoyed it immensely. Playing two straight years in the ASA nationals and watching what those girls did against some of the top players in the country was amazing. I was very proud of them. I do not have anyone playing at present since my daughter Rachel graduated last year. For the record she was the senior that Coach Powell referred to in her earlier post as the one that only played in the field. Maybe I will get back into it one day if my little one decides to play SB down the road. Good luck to FCS and all their players this year. I am sure Rachel sends her best. Hailey good luck to you. My kids have been at this shcool since the 3rd grade and now are seniors and juniors and feshamn etc and a majority of the players on this team have been here many many years so we must really have an eye for talent since we obviously recruit them when they are in grade school. Like I said in my last one and only post on this topic. Defense wins championships............................but our offesne ain't bad. I just read an article from a sports writer on Coach T that picked Coalfiled to win, Jo Byrns to win and Temple to win. I think he needs to get a new job. FCS 13 - 0. Go Figure.........the AP took our 1st place ranking away which we held up until almost the end of the seaon and gave it to Jo Byrns and then to Temple. Maybe they should get a new job as well. Region 4 is by far the strongest rgion in 1A. Like I said, TC, Godornsville or FCS could win the title so now it is up to FCS to bring it yet again to region 4. TC & Gordonsville - come out and cheer us on next Friday vs Hampton. We will save you a seat. As I said - 54 - 7. Enough said.

#55 Wade Mitchell from FCS - Mr. Football Candidate.

Always two side to a coin. Your offense scored 32 points against a TC defense that only allowed FCS to score 14. That is correct. But there is anotehr way to look at it. Your defense allowed TC offense to score 31 points and FCS defense led my Mr. Football linebacker candidate (Mitchell) and state interception leader (Doke) only allowed them to score 7. So I guess it is all how you look at it. Either way it will be a great game. Also FCS kicking game is solid with Bo Baker kicking extra points, field goals and kick offs and Mitchell punting so that might end up being the difference in what I predict to be anotehr close ball game. Good luck to both teams.

Great game Tiger. You guys really did come to play. You dominated a majority of the game on offense and defense. When you had us 19 - 7 I thought it was over. Your boys really did play their heart out and left it all on the field. I was proud of both teams. You were right. Thye were a differtn team tonight than when we played you in Gordonsville. Now lets see if we can bring a another state title to Region 4A to go along with TC's of last year.

Here is a thought, maybe just maybe the G-Men have not been the same team since the FCS game due to the fact they have not played anyone as good as FCS since that game. Granted, the FCS offense stalled after the 1st qtr due to the strong defensive play of the G-Men but then again - Wade Mitcehll and his defense turned the G-Men back repeatedly on their home turf. They then did teh same thing to TC a week later. Something to think about. It ought to be a good game and obviosuly I am on here with a bunch of Tigers fans so I will throw lowly lucky overrated undeafted FCS a bone and say that they may by some miracle pull out anotehr victory over the G-Men. We will just have to see how it shakes out. Regardless of the outcome, the state champ will come out of this region - FCS, TC or the G-Men. Good Luck to all this Friday night.

FCS is a triple headed monster with rickaway, markam and alsup in the backfield. But they also have teeter at wide out and doak when needed. But FCS has won their past two games against good team with their defense. Dpak with 9 inteecpriotns this year hch leads the state. Mitchel at LB is incredible. Stephens, Doak and Alsup and Boyd in the secondary - OMG. FCS is deadly on offense but the defense is what is going to win them state. Their defense rocks. Hard nosed footballl baby. They are truly the rral deal this year.
