But if i recall we had 7 consecutive shutouts in a row during the end of the season and heading into the playoffs

Also we had Craig Gilliam as our D. Cord. While he was coaching us on the weekends Ray Rhodes was head coach of the Phi. Eagles and would call nashville asking coach gilliam for advice

 

Danny Francesca was on that staff as well. Maurice Fitzgerald's bunch was loaded all around from throughout the 1990's

First, Maplewood will not beat Hillsboro. If by chance, they do get past Hillsboro, they will not beat Melrose, who can match their speed and has a better coaching staff than Maplewood. Then if you know where freezes and Maplewood is in the buro for the 4A title game, Maryville will run them into the ground. GQ would single-handily win the game because of his coaching.

 

 

I have been in the pressbox as Melrose played in a State Championship game in the late 90's. That staff is not that good. Look what White House did to them in '97, and Melrose had some STUDS on defense. Some guy named Kindal Moorehead, just to name one, and David something or another, that escapes me, that was just as good, just didn't qualify academically anywhere. Maryville is a machine, they continue to impress me year after year.

i really enjoyed playing for coach Fran. a lot of people didn't give him credit for what he did. when I graduated he was the D. Cord. and I was the starting MB for him.
