Why are they going to be so much better, did they have players transfer in? I know they've got one of the better point guards I've seen but who else will be an impact player for them??

 

 

 

I heard they had 2 or 3 freshman. Is the point gaurd one of the freshman?

It will be hard to be a contender unless they got some transfers.

I can see Clinton maybe next year being the team to beat more so than this season.

 

Depending on how well this group of freshman and the upper classman gel will determine the out come this season. If the incoming freshman (which is very talented I know for a fact) can handle the pressures of high school basketball they could finish fourth possibility third in a fairly tough district. Depending on Oak Ridge, Powell and Campbell Co (Powell and Campbell Co have also added some strong freshman this year as well).

 

Could be a real competive district this season if all the freshman play up. If not this year for sure next.

 

I know most all the freshman and their abilities going to these (4) schools and the future is very bright for all four.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
