Mcgavock Tournament

Mcgavock has been giving their own kids the OW award since the 80s when I was wrestling. Predictable and tacky! :o

McGavock had no vote in the decision, Coach Coffee is a quality guy and the decision was made by the Referees, don't belittle a program by expressing your opinion here. It was awarded to a quality wrestler, there were many quality wrestlers in the tournament. Last years OW went to an incredible athlete from Arab Alabama.

Stop arguing about who should have been OW, it does nothing but create problems and makes you and others look bad.

I would not normally respond to this thread, but it is time to move on. The Referee's felt that Yahya was deserving of the award. There vote was the one that counted in this situation.

They probebly gave and Arab kid the award last year so they would continue coming to the tournaments in the future. :thumb: It's political sometimes, I don't care what you say. :thumb:

Guys the Arab kid was a very good wrestler and he deserved the award I was simply trying to make a point that Mcgavock does not give the award to there guys.

Justin Scott is a very good wrestler, just wish he had someone over at hillwood that could give him some competition during practice, he will have the chance to prove himself as the year goes on, he could definitely shock some people and medal at state.

If you think Justin is muscular, you should have seen his dad. This is a picture of him back in the late 80s at the Mcgavock Tournament. HE was a hoss. ;) There weren't many guys built like this back then in high school. From what i hear he's been a full contact fighter for the last 15 years. Justin comes from good stock.
