Antioch HS running the score up on Glencliff HS

i was at the antioch/glencliff game and antioch didnt run up the score at all. they didnt press after halftime and the starters didnt even play but about 17, 18 minutes toatal. they were running a 2-3 defense and the cliff went something like 12 minutes with out a point. look at the box score, other than the two posts, three of the top five leading scorers for antioch were junior varsity players or back ups. what does that tell you?? point is like everybody else has been saying, glencliff stinks really bad. they're probably the worst team in metro including hillwood. if antioch truely wanted to run up the score it would have been something like 110-17

The bottom line is that Glencliff got beat, and Antioch is one of the best basketball team in the mid state and state. Period

 

As for the kids being embarrassed maybe this will make them try and play harder or something. They will get over it. It is part of the game. Remember Glencliff hasn't had a competitive team in a long time.

 

As for Crowder. He did his job. No coach in their right mind is not going to tell his kids to stop playing hard. I have never heard of a coach say guys I don't want to you to try and play hard.

 

Give Antioch a break just because they beat Glencliff down. That is not saying much, almost any team in the state can beat Glencliff.

 

Antioch has some of the best starts and a good bench to back them up. Crowder is doing what he is being payed to do and that is coach.

Yeah and so is Glencliff's basketball program and overall athletics. They're better off not having athletics. They are truly the worst team in Tennessee. Truly pathetic

 

 

Get over it. Antioch handed it to them and still winning.

This is pathetic. I wouldn't waste this much time on Crowder. Somebody needs to video him on the bench and send it in to funniest videos. Especially if his team is turning the ball over.

Glencliff's varsity may be weak, but their freshmen are very good. I saw them drill a good 9th grade Stratford team last week.

Icy does a good job with his kids.
