Yes, it is Kayci Ferris of Smith County. Yes the record is 10-10. Yes she is 6' 8" tall. Does any of that take away from her impact? Very few players of any grade classification demand that the opposing coach gameplan specifically for that player, especially a freshman. The fact that Ferris has such a weak supporting cast should only add to the fact that she is not only a great freshman, or a great player, but also among the best in the state.

Is there an truth to the rumor that Ferris's middle school and aau teammate (groomed to play together by Coach jim Brown) could be joining the Smith Co. line up next Season? If so, sounds like 10/10 PROBLEM SOLVED!

Jackson/Smith County, There is a girl that was groomed by both Jim Brown and The Insell/Brown/nike/elite who-ever-they-are crew, to play with the 6'8" Ferris, I've seem them, A tournament game when Ferris scored about 40 points and about 30 of them were assist from a strong defensive guard. (had what looked like a jump shot but was actually a high pass to Ferris's fingertips and directly into the net. End of Game, RBS had the Leonard girl and crew and couldn't begin to match up with these two. And, they also beat upperman, seems like it was uppermans only loss. She is not on the Jackson Co. bench, anybody know where she went, I've heard rumor that its possibly to Smith Co?????? ENQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW!!!!!!!!!

oh come on....Brown only had Ferris and one other kid on the Shelbyville/elite/nike/whoop-da-doo group. Was at a game recently, looked specifically for the girl and she wasn't on the bench. Ask around, seemed like nobody wants to talk about it. Actually, truth is, I'm just guessing, if she is not with browns lady devils seems sensible that Smith Co. would be my best guess. JUST CURIOUS, NOT TRYING TO START A RUMOR, therefore I didn't use her name Those who keep up with these teams, know who she is.

I saw the SC / Upperman game. I cann't remember Upperman's big freshman's

name. She is and will be an outstanding player. 1 of the 3 best I've seen as far as Fr. go. Ferris (SC), Leonard(RBS) and the girl from Upperman have to be in the top

7 in the state. Ferris out played Upperman's player Fri. nite...........Had 7 blocked shots in the first half.............

Molly Heady from Monterey is a outstanding freshman player who is averaging a double, double just about every game. She has some good post moves and dosen't miss much from the foul line. Her attitude on and off the court are exceptional.

I ve heard rumors or whispers of SEVERAL players in the upper cumberland talking of moving to Smith County. I don't blame to get an opportunity to play with Ferris. But don't forget we have a big girl right up the road in Dyer if your looking to move. GO LADY BEE's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
