whodeywhodat
hamilton-OVERRATED briarcrest- OVERRATED st. georges- OVERRATED all three of these teams are supposed to be top teams in the state with top players in the state. St. georges got beat by ECS (no offense) who is missing their starting center and don't really get a big man til next semester and while st. georges has one of the best players in the state in elliot williams, thats all they have. hamilton lost to an MUS team who is missing probably their best player in Elliott Cole whose avg. roughly 20 a game and just got their starting PF, john stokes, back two days ago who hasnt shot a ball in three weeks and he completely destroyed hamilton in the paint. and while they lost to bolton, they were also missing two four year starters, cole and stokes. briarcrest is just a joke who practically buys their players (see michael oher two years ago OR johnny williams, a good PF that will be playing next semester.) nonetheless, some of these teams who are considered top team's in the city and/or state greatness are completely blown out of proportion. I agree with hamilton and st.george being overrated but briarcrest is not. They lost to raleigh-egypt by only 11.And they dont buy their players. The reason johnny williams went to Briarcrest is because two a his best friends go there[leslie mcdonald and gregg wooten],so get your facts right before you talk about them and Briarcrest has leslie mcdonald, elgin lee,and gregg wooten. When johnny comes they will get what there missing,a big man and will be hard to stop with those 4 players, who are top players in the whole state.O yeah they do have a good coach. whodeywhodat
i suppose your right about the briarcrest thing, even though they lost to st. georges, but we all know we can't play the "well, we beat this team therefore we'll beat your team because you lost to that team." however, depending on how aggressive johnny williams has gotten, i don't know how influential he'll be in that league going against animals like chris walker and john stokes who might not be as talented, but they sure as heck know how to put a body on a guy. anyways, last time i saw him play he was definitely dominant, but that was while playing against JV teams. any updates on that kid? Galilee
We are off to s alow start with a 5-6 record. Do not let the record fool you. Our loses are to Hamilton (3), Ridgeway(2), and Fairley. We played 2 games without our top scorer Ken Torry. Once we start league play we will be ready.
