BayouBear - Unless there is a real travisty in the bracketing, Soddy and Bradley are clearly the class of the state (nothing new here) and will battle it out in the finals. If they are stuck on the same side of the bracket then I'm picking the Owls to make the finals.

We'll be on opposite sides this year. The top 4 teams are seeded based on the prior year. We'll be the 1 seed. Clarksville and Soddy will be 2 and 3. Ooltewah finished 4th last year but I don't know if the seeding rules say the team has to simply return to the State Duals to get the seed OR has to win the Region to get the seed.

Agree with that. Seymour is probably the best team in region 2...but isn't Seymour in the small school division at state duals?

That is just the way it is set up. They base seeding on last year result and the ones that made it this yr. that didnt last year fill the holes. Since Bradley placed 1st last year and Clarksville, Soddy, and Ooltewah all respectivly place 2nd, 3rd, 4th they get those seeds, saying that they make, most likely they will. Since the 1 seed on at the top and then the 2 seed at the bottom and then you have the 3 seed at the top of the bottom half of the bracket and the 4 seed and the bottom of the top half of the bracket that is how you know that Bradley and Soddy will probably be in the finals. You understand now?

I see Ravenwood and Oakland taking their regions this year with SD over BC in the finals this year. the win in duals should be much closer than SD's 50 - 70 pt. blowout at the traditionals capping a historic season for Steve and crew.
