PageMan
Games for Tuesday, January 23: Marshall Co. (6-1) at Giles Co. (5-2) GC's Lady Bobcats will be seeking revenge for last weeks's loss at Lewisburg (36-45) to the district leading Tigerettes. Lewis Co. (4-2) at Loretto (1-6) LC's Lady Panthers invade Loretto hoping to get back on track after losing to MC on Friday (43-49). Loretto's Lady Mustangs are always tough at "The Barn" so expect a close game. Spring Hill (4-3) at Page (0-6) SH's Lady Raiders gave MC their only district loss (38-39) as they seek to keep pace with LC and GC in the battle for 2nd in the district. Page's Lady Patriots are still seeking their 1st district win and gave the Lady Raiders a good game earlier in the season losing by only 6 pts, 36-42. Morton
What happened to Loretto this year? They were so strong last year. Did they have a team full of seniors with their underclassmen getting very little playing time?? Just wondering...
PageMan
Loretto did lose 5 seniors that included Jana Cross, Leah Stone, Jessica Green, Dava Dickson, and Nikki Reed, but I thought with Freshman Kinsley Willams, Sarah Brewer, Mandy Cross and others that they would do pretty good this season, but they haven't. They have lost some close games in the district, mainly because of lack of three point goals. They have a strong inside game, but I guess they needed more support scoring from the rest of the team. They host district leader Marshall Co. on Friday, Feb. 2 and I'll go out on a limb and say they will win at home.

hunt4
This could be a very good district tournament upcoming, as all top three teams have played each other fairly close in there previous meetings.

PageMan
Sorry, Uknow, I haven't actually seen the bracket yet so I only know for certain about the play-in games on Tuesday for the girls and Monday for the boys. I know that the remainder of the the district tournament will be played at Lewis Co. starting Thursday, Feb. 15. I believe that there will be 4 games - semi finals of both girls and boys. The girls will have the following match-ups: #1 Marshall Co. vs winner of Loretto at Spring Hill #2 Lewis Co. vs winner of Page at Giles Co. Boys Games: #1 Giles Co. vs winner of Page at Marshall Co. #2 Spring Hill vs winner of Loretto at Lewis Co. I would guess on Thursday they will alternate between girls' and boys' games. I'll see if I can get the exact times today. Don't rely on me for anything anymore as I obliviously don't know anything Edited February 9, 2007 by PageMan
