Thursday, at East Lit Magnet

 

ELM vs MLK, the winner will be region 7 small school dual champs and I think host the sectionals.

 

You guys that keep up with region 7, what do you think about this matchup?

E. Lit will win this match. Too much for MLK. Good luck to E. Lit and MLK in the sectionals, represent region 7 well.

Congrats to Hunters Lane!!! They beat two of the top teams in region 8 last night, defeating Hendersonville 45-31 and Springfield 45-22(and Corley did not wrestle and open at two weights!) Everyone wrestled great, good job guys keep it up for this weekend @ Soddy Daisy.

great job grinder for the job last night. :thumb: Your warriors looked strong and I know you had some guns not wrestling. But you need to remember that Hendersonville was looking to beat Springfield not Hunters Lane. However Kerry did look good last night. I will send you a bill for the work I did this past off season with him....ha ha haha just kidding coach.

if you would stop showing region 7 wrestlers how to win and show your own you might win a match this year.

you need to teach them what you taught kerry because he looks as if he can't be beat.

Nothing against Beech, but I don't think the coach there has the same group of kids to work with like Hunters Lane has. HL has a very young group that goes out and wrestles hard, most of the time, and they also have a group that is very athletic, which is something that you cannot coach. Beech is doing well with the hands they are dealt. On the the note of Kerry, he is very gifted and the beech coach did a great job with him over the summer and Kerry has gotten even better just from being in the practice room this year, because a lot of things have changed at Hunters Lane, most of all, their work ethic.

Wrestling is Wrestling and Hendersonville might have taken HL too lightly, but even if they were looking to beat Springfield, I think that is a mistake on their part, you have to have the desire to win every match and dual. Hunters Lane has been trying to do that all season and for some reason, last night it finally clicked for their wrestlers as an entire group wrestled extremely well compared to how they have looked in the past. They still have plenty of work to do but they are finally getting there!

they need you in region 8 because everytime they they don't win it is because of forfeits or we didn't wrestle our starters a WIN is a WIN and all they know how to do is cry and make excuses.

      Looks like everybody's favorite dad is on the move again. Mount Juliet, BA, LIpscomb, Ensworth and now some lucky(?) school in Carolina as the "preacher" has taken a job with the Carolina Panthers. His snow continues to fall.

      I’ve known a few players who went through TKA, and the only problem is the line, like athletes up there are easy to come by. There’s been great athletes came through TKA. It’s just they can never find a line and the ones they do aren’t that good.

      Pretty sure it’s the school he is zoned for, but TKA wasn’t sure if they were going to have a football team this upcoming season, like a months ago. A lot of the good players hit the hay, mainly to GP, but a few went to Concord, which is a school in Knoxville, making a lot of questionable promises, and the rest just went back home to places like Clinton, South Doyle, Seymour, etc.
