heard heritage won by like 25

The Patriots won 63-40. They were ahead at the half 40-15.

Why is it that McEwen and Houston County do not call in the scores for their home games? Do they call them in if they win?? Just wondering...

That is correct about McEwen.... When they had Puckett and was winning they practically called them in from a cell phone on the bench, but have a losing season and they dont want everyone out in civilization to hear about it the loses......

That's pretty harsh to say about just one team.....That's how it goes with any ball team in the state unless or always on top(only a few teams). The more games you win, the more people care about what's going on. The more exciting your teams is to watch (dunks, amazing passes, points) the more the people in the community come out to support. I don't think their is any one person that calls in the games after they are over. The fact is yeah the may be like that, but who isn't at sometime.... They really have a decent team that can compete with ANYONE in the district if they are playing well. Right now they are going through a slump in the season....But hey better now then in the post season. Hopefully they can get this out of their system and start playing better ball. The WHH game was awful....simply awful... But don't count them out of any game in the district.

I'd say the community was there to support McEwen against Heritage considering the home stands were packed. It was nice for that many people to be silent after Heritage started dominating every aspect of the game. The fact is McEwen won't call in a score if they lose..but a win is much different.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
