Pavlou-Winesburg was a great match. Winesburg leads 4-2 going into 3rd, Pavlou picks bottom, escapes and gets a takedown. Has in legs working for the turn and gets a cradle and sticks Ulric, BIG extra 3 pts.....but in no way caught in a mistake, the match went to the end. Without the pin Pavlou still wins as long as he could ride him for the last 45 secs.

Great job by the Bears Seniors, Withrow, Johnson, Spain, Creagan and Randolph. Great job by the younger Bears as well! Great job by the Coaches and to the guys whose name you don't see on here or in the newspapers, the guys that push the Varsity squad to to be the best that they can be. You guys hang in there, your time will come. Congrats all!!!!

 

Also, I thought Danny Gilbert did an outstanding job of calling the match tonight in a very loud gymnasium!

Not to take away from the victory, but Gilbert did a terrible job, and he is usually much more reliable. Watch the tape and see how he was not accurate at all in his calls.

I guess I wouldn't like getting all them stalling and fleeing calls either. Danny just tried to keep the matches moving. Wrestling to win will keep those calls off you every time. Wrestling to keep from giving up bonus points will get them from a good ref.

????--how do you not take away from the victory but you blame the ref--do you really think he cares who wins or loses--again just like in the other post--you and a very few other soddy fans come across as crybabies--oh we will get you next time--the ref beat us--you have said the score last 2 years was 2-2--in straight duel meets i believe it is 2-1 bradley---yes soddy has a fine team--no a great team--but so does bradley --when soddy beat baylor maybe i missed it but neverdid i see the baylor team blame it on the ref!!
