Franklin Rebels win 3rd Reg Season District 11 Title

Not bad for a coach in only his 4th year as head coach!

The Rebels wrapped up the district again last night with a blowout win over Hillwod.

Young returned and played well while Batt continued to stay hot!

I agree Coach. Not bad for a "rebuilding year". A lot of credit should go to Coach Johnson for bringing so many young kids along and getting them in big ballgames for that all important experience. This will payoff later during tournament play in mid-February to late-February.

Well even though early in the year I thought we might have one district loss. Looks like we will sweep 11aaa once again. Brentwood has won three in row so we don't need to go into the game flat.

Before we talk sweep, look out for CHS - they may be the most improved from first half to second half.

 

Was a little nervous when game was tied at 28, but Franklin turned it on to run away with it. Young guys got more experience - and not in mop up duty. They played quite a bit in second quarter.

100 wins in less than 4 years. I'm not really good at math, but using my calculator, I figured out that is 25 wins a year in less than 4 years. Not many coaches around can say that. This is the year he was supposed to struggle, losing Anderson, Murray,Brown. His teams have also only lost 1 district game in the past 3 seasons. I know, we are going to get a post soon about not being able to get out of regions so our district stinks, you got to be there though. We are fortunate to have Coach Johnson at FHS, and just think Ravenwood could have had him. haha

Very impressive! I had heard that Franklin would struggle this year after losing the three excellent guards. Forget rebuilding......looks like Coach Johnson has just reloaded. Good luck to the Rebels in Region!
