There needs to be three divisions, and a set standard across the board as far as what qualifies, small, medium, and large. For example, what qualifies as small school in Area 1 (Johnson City, Rogersville, Blountville area) would qualifiy as large school in area 2, 3, or 4.

Sorry, but Johnson City (Science Hill) and Blountville both are large schools in Area 1....only Rogersville is considered small school.

in area 1 we only have 2 divisions, small and large, in both football and basketball

we have been pleading with the guys in charge in area 1 to make three divisions in both sports and especially in football...currently in area 1 we have schools such as holston, blountville, bluff city and happy valley who have around 140-150 eighth graders being lumped with science hill (555 8th graders), john sevier (300 8th graders), and not to mention vance, greeneville, colonial heights who all have 280-300 8th graders...it is hard to compete when there is that big of a discrepancy...if you are on the bottom end of the cutoff which is 1-125 small and 126 and up large then you may be able to compete once every 5 years if you are lucky...three divisions would be a very good solution
