I disagree with your analysis of the game. I think what you call poor play was more a refelction of the coaching. I think the players played as their coach's instructed them to. Which is why I was confused with the DL's coaching strategy. I think it made for an ugly game. I think their decision to face guard Miller the whole game back fired on them. They under estimated the abilities of the other CPA players. CPA plays unselfish team ball and that is why they won.

I agree with you for the most part. It was poor play, like I said, but I do attribute a lot of it to the coaching for each team. You're right, face-guarding Miller and opting for Anderson and Z to beat your isn't a great move, but it's one of the better ideas for guarding CPA, IMO.

Even if the "players played as their coach's instructed," Clayton and Slater both missed crucial shots, namely Slater. Late in the game, he should hit those shots at the line. And you have to admit, nearly every 3 he (Slater) took bricked, not just missed.

Can't disagree with you there

One thing that hurt lipscomb the most was free throws. Towards the end of the game lipscomb missed 8 straight free throws. Not to mention no one really hit their threes either. It was a well fought game by both teams, and i want to congratulate CPA on the win. Be ready in the regionals ,CPA, because lipscomb will be ready for you.

if i right i believe if both CPA and DL win mon. and tues. they would both meet again in the semifinals of region.....which would be an elimination game !!!!!!!! so my gut is that these two will meet again on a neutral court and what a game it will be again!! good luck to both teams...in there next games!! im rooting for both of u!!

    • We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.
    • I like the Pirates chances. I’ll be there as soon as work allows.
    • Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.
    • I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.
    • I'm from Cloudland and we've never played a sectional game.  We need to win tomorrow night to avoid that bus ride.  Us and north greene can play with you guys so I'm expecting good games whoever the matchup is.
