I have no thirst for Union City's defeat, but considering they've been beaten eleven times, I'd say it would have been materialized had that been the case.

Sounds to me there is just alot of hate toward UC girls. Why wouldnt anyone pull for there girls after all the years of them being a doormate in girls basketball in west tennessee.

This topic heading is not as surprising to most, as it is to some. The top 4 or 5 teams in this district could have beaten each other on any given night. There would be no surprise to see either U.C., Gleason or Lake County make it to the boro. Anyone who has watched this district this year surely does know that all of the teams are fairly balanced with the exception of the bottom 3 or so. Either way, which ever teams make it to the substate should have a legitimate shot at doing well. Gleason, impressive by the victories and their overrated coach, are still one dimensional. Take away the "go to" player and they are at best a .500 team. I always pull for our district teams, no matter who makes it, but no one team is that better than ALL of the rest. To whomever makes it, represent us well.

I'm with you Hater..I've said all along that the teams in the district was too close to call...Gleason included..If Lake Co doesn't go..I hope Gleason and Union City does well..Lake Co has actually played better than I thought they would..They've had a couple bad games but overall ,played pretty well..

Union City has some excellent athletes..If they play as they are capable..could beat anyone..I'm glad they're doing well..But..I'm for any of the teams in our district as long as Lake Co 's not playing them!
