well last year when they were playing warren county and they were clocking killian they also clocked Neil at his highest at 87 and his curve ball is wicked and he also plays on a 18and under team so he has to be pretty darn good to do that

lol don't keep yourself anonymous or anything... and i'm pretty sure the d'backs have more than one catcher.

I believe the name of this forum should be "how do the siegel stars do this year". Neil Robinson is not such an asset that his name should be mentioned in front of the team in a forum. He is good, don't get me wrong. But nobody is good enough that their name should be mentioned as if they ARE the team.

I was thinking the same thing. Neil is a great player and he was the key to many of the Stars victories last year but it certainly isn't the Neil Robinson show. On another note, the Stars will have to scrap for runs this season and keep playing good defense.

They will always be solid defensively. Also always seem to have solid pitching. Question is, is this the year they really start to swing the bats?

Is the Davis Pearce kid any count? I've heard a few good things about him offensively and the size is there.

Davis drags himself to home plate looking like he would rather be anywhere but at home plate. Very relaxed at the plate, fluid pre-swing moves and the ball comes off his bat hard. May be the most relaxed looking hitter at the plate since Slayden's approach at Oakland. He has had good plate coverage and was fooled on a breaking pitch, kept his hands in the hitting position and hit a home run Friday night. Plays defense the same way...full speed, but looks like he is gliding. Has a knack to slow the game down with a good plan and approach and then reacts.

    • And that needs to go, Charter ,private ,magnet, city and any school that operates differently than pure public schools should be separated. What really needs to be done is address urban and rural. About all the usual powers have access to several kids from other schools period.
    • Sad deal. Hate it. So the coach that kicked her off is now fired??
    • Slightly off topic from a gender standpoint but just observed several boys volleyball games in the Knoxville area for a short spring season. The guys seemed to have a great time. There were several club players on each team but several football, basketball and tennis players involved. Knoxville Catholic, Maryville, Heritage, Knoxville West maybe William Blount had teams. Thanks to Coach Brent Carter from Knoxville Catholic/K2 for getting it together. I’m sure the coaches involved got several laughs trying to coach guys that really had no idea what they were talking about but pretty athletic and competitive. Catholic’s best basketball player told the coach he had played a lot of 2:3 and 1:3:1 but never a 3:3 LOL Maybe it will catch on with some more schools next year.
