QUOTE(Unionvegas @ Feb 26 2007 - 08:41 PM) 826390779Moore County wins 37 to 35.

Evidently a little ruckus on the court after the game by the Summertown fans

Surely not the good folks from Summertown causing a little ruckus?? /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> Anyways, was pulling for Summertown, just wasn't meant to be. Congrats to Moore Co.

QUOTE(SportsWizard @ Feb 26 2007 - 08:48 PM) 826390798Looks like they should wait untill after the Region Tournament to pick coach of the year. The real District 11A coach of the year is from Moore County. My case is simple, one coach was prepared, one was not for SUMMERTOWN.

MOORE COUNTY IS GOING WHERE RICHLAND COULD NOT.

DO NOT put a bad spin on a good showing by your team. Go back and edit your comments to say GREAT WIN MOORE COUNTY.

I told everyone not to underestimate Moore County.

As far as going some where Richland could not, same thing happened last year. Moore County won regular season. Cornersville won District tourney, Richland represented the region at sub-state.

CONGRATS MOORE COUNTY. Good luck with COLLINWOOD.

Jump on the band wagon there Wizard. Less than two weeks ago you made the comment and I quote "My raiderettes laid down. I have never seen this team quit like that. We need a new coach. It also appeared that our alternative school girl quit also. I have seen her dominate games. She just did not seem to be trying. Good win for Santa Fe. You deserve it."

Greg is a good coach and has taken a lot of heat this year. What he doesn't need is someone saying fire him one week and then nominating him for the coach of the year two weeks later. Not good for the girls as a team. Support your team. Win or Lose.

    • I have no idea who your team is, but Memphis and other Shelby Co. schools have hardly made a dent, if you’re talking Game 15 appearances. Outside of a couple by Whitehaven, I can’t recall the last team in a final.
    • Robbed you guy at a chance of 3 state championships. You never kne, sond best team in the west my have beat you also, but you sure deserved the chance to play um.
    • Eagleville also loses Brown the catcher, Lamb CF, Mclemore RF (Heck of an athlete) and Drew the 1st baseman. They will be young.
    • Good thing we aren’t in Florida then huh? It would benefit a ton of the smaller schools  that don’t have the pools of kids to choose from! They should start by policing Shelby County like they do the rest of the state! Something has to change though and TSSAA knows that!
    • Correct, you can whimsically be fired in coaching. A coach that has tenure can stay on as a teacher if released from coaching. If you don’t have tenure as a teacher, you can fired without cause. Your last year as a teacher before tenure is earned you can be fired, but must be given cause. A tenured teacher can be fired, but it is a long hard process requiring the 3 D’s…. documentation, documentation and documentation. I have released 3 tenured teachers, 2 with PHD’s. However, teacher contracts had and still have clauses that state you can be fired for a variety reasons re: being arrested, public drunkenness, inappropriate relationships ect.
