District 11-AAA

Just want to see thoughts or predictions in this district with ravenwood, franklin, independence, brentwood, etc.

I think overall district 11 AAA is down this year with most of the top teams losing their top players. This year it is totally up for grab. I think that as many as six teams could fight for the top of the district. They are Brentwood, Centennial, Franklin, Independence, Overton, and Ravenwood. This district has put two teams in the state the last two years, which shows how good it is, however, I don't think it will happen again this year.

For sure, Franklin has some hitters but what about their pitching? Not sure who graduated and what they have in the way of arms this year.

I think Franklin will out hit most of the teams and find some guys to throw strikes much like last year. Nobody thought they had any arms last year either, but guys like Pace and Liddle came in and did a good job. I think this team will be similar to that team. By the way thanks for letting me know his name, I didn't know it, just knew he was a good player.

After dominating Franklin in the fall and their wins against Overton and Ravenwood to start their season off, there is no question that Brentwood is the best team in the district this year.

To early to call, but it looks like Independence and Centennial have improved and will contend. Both maybe closer to the top than expected. Don't throw out Ravenwood just yet, they have been slow starters the last couple of years. Two go to pitchers in Fransecan and the "new" kid Carter from the left. Without a few oops against Brentwood the Raptors get a win, of course if the Bruins don't say oops, then they close out the Raptors 2-1/3-2. So a good game where they exchanged errors and the score ended as it should.

Franklin has earned it's top billing, they graduated an awful lot of hitting, they will reload but will not hit the way they did last year. Joseph kid is that good at plate, best in Mid-Ten, Dykes will get his, the rest do not add upto all those seniors of 06. Brentwood was expected to have a good shot this year, with the Burgess kid down and the Hackett kid not available to after spring break, expectations were to stumble early. They have taken down Overton and Ravenwood throwing their best to start 2-0. Fell down 5-0 to Ravenwood through 2nd, battled back to take it 6-5, Bruins are a tougher group than past. Bruins are for real, get three good arms back after break. Burgess will be the difference hitting and pitching.

It is all a toss up just to be honest because franklin beat brentwood last night. overton beat independence. independence beat ravenwood. Franklins bats are hot. Ravenwood has really good #1and#2 pitchers. Brentwood is good defensivly sound as well as overton.Any team can take the district just whoever shows up at the end is what matters. Good luck all.

between franklin,brentwood,overton,independence,ravenwood,centenial they all have a chance to go

One month later and still all of these teams look like they can make it to Regions. They all beat up on each other this year.

And the end begins next week. Any thoughts on whose going to make it out of District 11 now that the regular season is about over??
