What has happened to Rutledge

They are playing with alot of seniors and not showing any leadership. With three of the top players around Kitts, Dalton, And Horsley they should be better. How do you think they will end up?

I think they will be ok,but some of the seniors need to really think about the true meaning of TEAM and how everyone can be a leader on any give day,with every at bat on offense and every pitch on defense a new leader may be born,I think alot of these guys need to just have FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can't be too hard on them, they went up against a very talented pitcher from west high school. Don't think just because he is the #6 pitcher on their pitching rotation if you even want to consider him a pitcher. If they learn to have fun they should be just fine even if their best hitter (JOHN DALTON) pulled the hat trick striking out three times.

Oooooooooovvvvvvvvrrrrraaaattttttteeeedddddddddddddddddd, Overated,could be a term that most people are saying,but I say wait til May and judge this bunch of young men,I think they will adapt and overcome all of their struggles and they will be a force to be reckoned with at the right time of the year.

Overrated is right...i heard that the pitcher for west high had a perfect game through 3 innings against rutledge.. which i thought that rutledge was the best hitting team in 2a baseball... it is ashame that the mighty pioneers had to have such an off day against a very talented pitcher

Are we talking about Know West or Morristown West? Regardless, those are both AAA schools and if they did beat Rutledge then because of classification and enrollment they're supposed to. Otherwise if it was the make up for the rainout which Rutledge was leading in the 3rd inning then well I guess if you get your best pitcher back out there then you should be able to have somewhat of an advantage.

 

Either way, I'm sure nothing is wrong with Rutledge and as far as overrated, I believe that's some sour grapes from someone.

KevB have you seen them play ,where does your information come from,do you have a direct line in Cincy, I love these guys , but they have to grow up and after the Pigeon Forge game tonight, I could see the effort and they are trying to make that first step,Let's see what the do the rest of the week , Chucky Doak Wed,usually a good team and the Beaver Creek classic this weekend at Gibbs.

Gibbs has seen Morristown West twice and they (meaning West) has at least two good pitchers. Their weekness is some suspect fielding in the outfield. But it will be interesting getting Rutledge, Morristown West and Sullivan South together with Gibbs this weekend. Should be some good baseball played.
