In the top of the 6th, Jim Caporali was called out on strikes as he was hit by a pitch, but, in the umpire's opinion, he said Caporali had swung at the ball. In my opinion, it appeared Caporali twisted in the box to avoid the ball as the bat remained near his shoulder.

In the bottom of the 8th, MC loaded the bases with 3 walks, but Page's Logan Adams came on in relief of Codi Webb and got the next three batters on 2 fly balls and a 6-3 ground out.

In the top of the 9th, Kory Hammock doubled, advanced on a sac by Scott Lynn, but was caught in a run down between 3rd and home as he tried to steal home to end the inning as Judd Stoltz had come in to relieve starter Seth Lintz.

In the bottom of the 9th, Cody Primm tripled, the next two batters were intentionally walked to load the bases, and Seth Lintz walked on a 3-2 count to score Primm with no outs as Marshall Co won 6-5.

Great, high strung game. Can't wait for the game tomorrow. Should be pretty heated. Congrats Tigers!

Great Game --

MC gave 2 runs to Page -- 1 on a balk by Lintz and another with a batter at the plate 2 strikes - 2 outs. Runner on 3rd stole home. Lintz froze and attempted to throw the runner out instead of throwing a strike and the innining is over.

The call on whether Caporali swung or not was a close call. I was standing near the net on the home side and it appeared that he swung just not a full swing. Either way a close and judgement call that cost the Page coach a few dollars I am sure.

Loooking forward to a good game at Page today.
