BaseballthruNthru
As of yesterday USJ has beaten Covington twice and Haywood once. They play Haywood again tonight.

Covington 6. Fayette Ware Being that you have attended USJ, Frank, this is pretty amazing - do have any idea about baseball? I can understand picking Ripley because USJ & Ripley are clearly the two best teams. But what is more shocking is that you picked Haywood over Covington. Are you serious? Covington 6. Fayette Ware 1. Univ School of Jackson - Hands down one of the better teams in the state. 2. Ripley/Jackson North Side- Ripley might edge NS out, but not by much. There schedule has been weak overall. 3. Covington- A struggling rebuild year for Geno. Still dangerous if you over look them. 4. Haywood- Young team, new coach, self defeating right now. 5. Fayette Ware

Didn't mean to imply that either team didn't have great kids. All anyone can ask if for the kids to play hard. These rankings are just a matter of opinion anyway. Good luck to your boys. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
FriendlyFoe
In the end, I definately think USJ will be #1. They are playing as tough of a schedule as anyone in the state. Their 3 losses have been to AAA powerhouses Bartlett and Oakland & to an excellent AA team, Goodpasture. Playing these teams will only make the team stronger and more competitive in the end. A team doesn't get much better by playing a weak schedule. Yes, their winn loss rankings may be better, but in the long run does that really matter? I don't know who Ripley has lost to, but I'll guarantee you that their schedule doesn't even come close to USJ's. GO BRUINS!!!
SallyMae
My Question for Ripley, USJ, and North Side fans is this: Which teams have you beat this year so far?
forfeit
Teams with 19 year old seniors and 18 year old juniors ought to be better than most.
baseballss07
I think USJ has beat some good teams this year, and according to the schedule on coacht Ripley plays only 3 triple AAA teams and they play 7 single A teams. And so far Ripley is (0-2) against AAA teams.
FriendlyFoe
USJ has beaten some really good teams this year. They have 17 wins against the following teams: Bolivar (AA) Dyersburg (AA) JCS (A) Crockett County (AA) Munford (AAA) Brighton (AAA) Germantown (AAA) Houston (AAA) Bartlesville, OK Munford (again) (AAA) Cordova (AAA) Collierville (AAA) Covington (AA) Covington (again) (AA) Bearden (AAA) Riverdale (AAA) Haywood (AA) That makes 9 wins over AAA schools, 6 over AA schools, 1 over a A school, and 1 win from an out-of-state team. BaseballthruNthru
USJ only has two seniors starting regularly the rest are juniors, and mostly sophomores and freshmen. They are kind of young when you look at it. A freshman is leading the team in homeruns with 8 so far.
