I think sheffield will come out on top in this game. it will be a close one, my guess.... 2-1 thats just opinion , I have played against both teams and I think they are evenly matched... this game could decide where sheffield is placed in region 8 district 15.

post your predictions here.

QUOTE(madisonLB @ Apr 10 2007 - 09:34 PM) 826434400honestly... their field was as big as a play sand box... no room to do anything which killed madison, and their field was gigantic clumps of dirt... unreal field... i think they had 1 shot in the whole game... it wasn't even fare... madison dominated... but it happens... covington are one of those teams that pack everything in the center of the field, and on a tiny field its impossible to play... not a strong team, but the field was unreasonable to play on

QUOTE(madisonLB @ Apr 11 2007 - 03:46 PM) 826435131No madison didnt blow them out, but the field was the only thing that prevented them from doing so... covington only had maybe 1 or 2 shots in the game... they didnt threaten at all, infact hardly were in the madison half, but madison didnt put their chances away

Madison...if you complained this much about Covingtons field, your in for a treat when you get to where Sheffield plays at..American Way Middle School, that is where we played them. i feel sorry for your keeper.. I barely could touch their crossbars, when on regulation size , i can hang from them.. they have the biggest goals for soccer i have ever seen.. and the nets were held down with old tires..not to mention their field is about 80 yards or less in length. the 18 line is where the pk spot should be and the pk is like 8 feet from the goal. so good luck if yall play on this field lol.

haha yea.... their goals were at least 9 if not 9 1/2 ft tall.... when regulation is 71/2 to 8. n the grass is awful.... its like clumps of grass with lots of ruts n rocks n the dirt..... would not advise slide tackling.... u might get a bullet casing n ur leg lol! but good luck to yall.... pray yall dnt play there. n there middle circle is like 4 yards radius. lol.... its soo funny.

I think that Madison will be the better team but Sheffield might have the advantage if it is played on their field. I hate playing on fields like that. There is not near enough room to play soccer the way it supposed to be played. And Isn't their some rule saying how big a field has to be or do they just ignore it.

QUOTE(Alek#3 @ Apr 16 2007 - 12:14 PM) 826438611what about wed. how do you think yall will do against madison? assuming you play for Dyersburg and how did Haywood beat ya?

They beat us two to one, but we were much better then that. I am not going to make excuses for my team, Haywood came to play, and play they did, their number seven is without a doubt the ome of the most dangerous players I've faced as a defender. He was superb throughout the match. I will let others make their own conclusions about the game, but be warned madison, we are preparing for you and I know for a fact this game matters a lot to me and my teamates. A few of us are skipping an academic honors banquet to play. Its never been easy to win on trojan ground, and you'll find it just as difficult this time.

P.S. (It think the game will tie 2-2)

So if sheffield wins tomorrow could they be ranked second in our district instead of madison? honestly i think it should be a good match because i think sheffield has a weak defence but creative offense and madison has a stronger defence so it is hard to say. Laydown would you say haywood was a all around good team or just a few players?

Number seven I dont know his name was their flow, He was fast and had magnificent ball control and passing. He created every chance they got. We had 17 shots on goal, but just couldnt capitalize on our chances. So id say it would be just a few players inspiring their team. They dont have a very quick or talented defense, but have a few good mids and strikers. If number 7 was marked out, however, Haywood would be very beatable.

    • They should be pretty good in year two for Rang.  Replacing most of the offensive production losing Dozier, Hayward and Rembert , but they're are skill kids in place ready for their shot.  I know I say this every year, but the o line should show improvement after two years in Rang and Kevin Day's weight program.  I still would favor West over Plow and OR come November.  The Rebs will have to grow up a bunch between now and then, and will probably take some lumps along the way with that schedule.  But I predict come playoff time they will be ready.   One of their coaches half joked to me that they could go 5-5 regular season and win the state championship.  Ha ha.
    • there will be a couple of teams, that could make some noise
    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
