Franklin vs Overton

Who pulls this game out to get the #1 seed in region. Will it be Franklin led by Corban Joseph and Casey Dykes? or will it be Overton led by the slew of competitive juniors and seniors. If Overton throws Johnson, it will be a tough one for Franklin to win. However, Franklin has the sticks to compete with any pitcher. Its gonna be a real good battle as tensions are high because the two teams split with eachother in the regular season.

Please explain to me why u think franklin will win this game when overton has out hit them both games, and has better pitching. Overton is playing good baseball right now and im sure franklin is to, but when its all said and done i think overton comes out holding the big trophy. With Senior Taylor Morrison suspended for this game, it might be close. BUT note that the bobcats did oust the Ravenwood squad without his presence /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> . With the lefty on the mound it should go to the Bobcats but franklin is a good squad and wont hand the big trophy over without a fight.

 

BTW- The Bobcats arent led by RJ and Brian..they're a unit led by the 9 nine starters. Remember that! /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

He said something he shouldn't have after a called third strike, thrown out of that game (vs Brentwood) and suspended for the next two.

 

BUT - if anyone saw the game against Ravenwood, that freshman that replaced Morrison at second made some excellent plays and would possibly start for any other team in the district.

 

If Johnson throws against FHS then Overton wins. I don't know if they would do that when they have a must-win game coming up on Friday(?). It would make more sense to save Johnson for that game. Both teams are great, but I don't think either one will advance very far after Regional play.

There is no must-win Friday. Overton and Franklin won't play again until Monday in the region tourney. That's plenty of time to rest for Johnson/

The game wasnt close from the start, Johnson on 3 days rest throws a one hit shutout with 11 K's. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blink:" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

 

The Bobcats face Antioch with all nine starters next monday with Johnson more than likely throwing that one too. So it should be fun..
