There has to be a lot of other talented guys that could have been asked to play in this game.

From what I saw at practices there is not any players from several teams in the area that probably should be on the squad, but I guess that's just the way it is. I hope Tennessee pulls out a win and that no one is injured. I'm looking forward to the game.

I havent been to a practice but I'm thinking there is just to many guys in this area to have 11 players from 1 team on the team. That is roughly 20 percent of the team. 6 Lineman ? I can think of a couple lineman from the valley area that deserve to be on this team.(No clue if they are not out there, but I know 1 is not for sure.)

 

When is the game ? I hope for no injuries and no fights. Seems like Tennessee has been the classiest squad since this game started. All the guys from Georgia wanted to do last year was pick fights. And we laid that wood to them.

Each school is sent a letter to nominate players on his team.

The Head coach with assistants chose who they want.

The players are then asked, if they decline some else

is asked.

I have not seen or heard any advertising about this game, other than what I read on Chattanoogan.com

For some reason Stump must not be promoting this game very heavily?

They're not even putting a roster on the Stump on Sports site. If anything they should just make a list of those showing up for practice. I'm guessing this will be the least attended of any of the games so far. Here is the list for the Georgia side, since it doesn't give their positions, height or weight and most on the TN side aren't familiar with them, that doesn't tell a lot either really. It goes all the way down to Cartersville and Rome, it looks like the GA squad is purposely stacked in an attempt to win. SE TN with Chattanooga, up to McMinn County, over to Grundy, vs NW GA with teams down to Dalton and over to Dade County would be more telling of area football strength. You never hear the first thing about Cartersville because they're so far south and only about Rome when they're beating Dalton or one of the other NW GA teams.

Maybe we need to organize a Sequatchie Valley game, Sequatchie, Bledsoe, Grundy vs Whitwell, Marion, South Pittsburg. You'd probably need a good 20 players on each side so that part of it might be tough.

Or what about just have all the teams from the Jamboree ? Throw in Boyd and Lookout Valley and have 30 players. Could be the SVC Classic or something along the lines.

There was a small article in the Sunday paper about it, but if you weren't looking for it you probably would not see it.
