Ooltewah Pre season

Recommended Posts

The qbs are still up in the air!!!! And the defensive backs looked like #%***! ,part of the time, then looked liked superbowl champs the next?!!! Lbs looked good, overall, they will be fine. You could tell ooltewah was mixing it up with young n older boys at the db spots, qbs ;the older kid looked better n made good decisions(most were short passes.) the 2 younger kids had strong arms, but looked really jittery at times, but one of them through a couple of the most beutiful n accurate passes, one long bomb the other a short pass, but in heavy traffic. the only thing is nobody really stood out and there wasnt a pass rush, monroe will fix any problems ,thats why he s benny monroe!!

Red Bank definately looked better than Ooltewah at Finley. But they should, Ledbetter has two seasons as a starter under his belt with two quality WR's to throw too. Benford maybe one of the best in the state, the other guy is no slouch either. Ooltewah still has some big question marks. At QB, Pepping didn't show Thursday(enough said), Brantley and Brady both have their strengths and weaknesses. Still seems to be anyones job that has the leadership to take it. At WR Shumaker, Swafford, Norwood all will be fine, Sammy and Jordan can fly but can they catch it when it counts? DB's still have some work to do. But hey it's real early.

Pepping was sick.

I don't know why anyone wouldn't think the qb position is still up in the air. Football is played in pads, right? Besides, the point of scrimmages is not to win, but to see how certain players perform in certain situations. And it is mazing how there are some that say things when they obviosly have no clue. There were only two qbs participating the other night and both have never taken a snap at the varsity level. Pepping throws the best ball and is a senior that knows the offense and he wasn't there.

Even if elgible, I doubt the sophomore transfer will learn enough in such a short period to be the qb.
