his name is michael blanchard.

he throws what most would consider "lasers" from the outfield, and though ive never seen him throw a football, id guess he has at least a decent arm after having watched him throw a baseball.

yes, he can absolutely roll, and is pretty shifty as well. when he played for briarcrest as a sophomore, he gave the brothers defense fits using his legs cause hes tough to tackle in the open field. michaels a solid football player and a naturally gifted athlete.

theres a lot of speed at the skill positions this year for the brothers, more specifically blanchard, martinez and jonhson, in no particular order. the tandem (or trio, rather) of blanchard and watson/johnson running the ball is likely to give most defenses a look that will be hard to read, much less stop. as long as the offensive line gives blanchard some type of protection, the purple wave will be hard to shut down this season be it through the air (martinez/pharr) or on the ground (watson/johnson/blanchard himself)....and then add to that a big fullback in front of watson and it gets to be a bit tricky as to what you do defensively.

in my estimation it should be fun to watch the brothers offense this season because of the different matchups coach locastro can put together using the different personnel he has this season.

basically, he can run it right at the defense out of the more traditional 'i' with watson and a fullback.

he can use the spread, qb in the gun and have both johnson and watson in the backfield.

run the spread with only watson in the backfield and use the quarterback keeps.....just a few of the combinations the brothers will be able to use to run the ball. i think theyll all be pretty tough to contain cause its not gonna be like in years past when the defense could pretty much key on harris or watson running the ball, now they have to look at blanchard more as a threat to run as well.
