Lewis Co. won 5 tds to 1 td for Bruceton. Bruceton's big fullback is tough, but they also have a good tight end who can catch and block and a good quaterback. Lewis Co. has a big, bad, mean offensive line, and a host of mean fullbacks and they come after you to hit you every single play. Chuck Dodson is a player. They have two or three game breakers. Lewis ran all over Bruceton's defense. They can throw too.

Lewis County really showed Bruceton that they need a lot of work on D but Bruceton did have some moments against L. Co's D. They moved the ball pretty well on a couple drives but couldn't finish them off. Man to man, Bruceton was just outmatched by the bigger Lewis County team.

It was a good hard hitting game though and the second team game was really a good competive scrimmage too. Bruceton't second team really did much better than I was expecting.

The Lewis county boys showed some toughness. The fullback Bruceton has is special, both on offense and defense. There timing seemed to be alittle off...but sure looked like that might give 1A teams a tough time. The big uglies for LCHS dominated most of the game...and Chuck was Chuck.....hard hitting and fast! LCHS showed some depth in talent, even the freshman were able to score at the end of the game.

The fullback, is that the Merlock kid who is listed on ESPN.com as a DE?

Is Lewis Co. going to be as good as last years squad?

Really hard to say this early.....but I would think so...maybe, just a little better.....hopefully...lol.

They have a good stable of backs.....and the defense looks to be up to LCHS standards. Kane looks to be getting more comfortable at QB..Ryan looks to be in form...and of course Chuck Dodson...is running hard and hitting harder.

Haven't been able to make a real good judgement on their lines..both offense/defense...they have had some early injuries and health issues hit them early...but hopefully it will all clear up in time for the season opener against MT. Pleasant. They have some sophmores that look promising...and some starting.

Hope this helps.....anything specific you would like to know I will try my best to find out for you!
